Dividing a total bill by kWh produces an all-in historical rate, but that is not always the right rate for estimating the next appliance. This tool reports both values: the total bill per kWh and the usage-related amount after entered fixed charges are removed. It never guesses which lines on your bill are fixed. The distinction is especially useful where bills include standing, supply, customer, network or service charges.
Use the current bill or tariff sheet, exact product label, location-specific solar estimate, or measured project dimensions. Example physical values teach the tool; zero money rates prevent an unsourced price from becoming a default claim.

If a bill is 150 for 500 kWh, the all-in rate is 0.30/kWh. If 25 is fixed, the usage-only effective rate is 0.25/kWh.
