Home projects
Move between metric and US project units before calculating concrete, paint, flooring and packages.
Convert the measurements before estimating the order
Home-project mistakes often start before the material formula: a room is measured in feet, a product sheet uses millimetres, and coverage is printed in square metres or gallons. Choose one unit path, calculate the net area or volume, then apply product coverage, wastage and whole-pack rounding in that order.
Decision boundary: These tools estimate preliminary quantities. Drawings, structural design, code compliance, workmanship, substrate preparation and supplier yield remain project-specific responsibilities.
Three useful starting paths

Calculate concrete volume
Use metric or US dimensions and keep the output unit explicit.

Subtract openings, apply coats and use the selected product coverage.

Convert dimensions, apply cutting allowance and round to whole packs.

- 01
Multiplying measurements before converting feet, inches, metres and millimetres consistently.
- 02
Using gross wall area without subtracting measured doors and windows.
- 03
Treating a calculator's quantity as approval of structure, installation method or final order.
Continue with a country pack
Country pages connect the same formulas to local bill vocabulary, official sources and measurement conventions without selecting a tariff for you.
