Bihar Kattha to square feet

Bihar’s official revenue glossary says Kattha size varies by region. Learn how to verify and convert the factor used by your record.

01

Why there is no single Bihar answer

The Government of Bihar revenue glossary describes Kattha as a traditional unit whose square-foot area varies from region to region in Bihar. It also describes Dhur as one-twentieth of a Kattha and Bigha as approximately twenty Kattha. That official warning is more important than a precise-looking general web number.

02

Find the factor for your record

Check the registered deed, current BiharBhumi record, survey map and local revenue-office convention. Record the square-foot equivalent stated or confirmed for the parcel’s district and locality.

03

Convert after verification

Once the local factor is confirmed, square feet = Kattha × verified square feet per Kattha. Enter that value as the custom local factor so the calculation, factor and location remain visible together.

04

Relationships do not create a square-foot factor

Knowing that one Dhur is one-twentieth of a Kattha helps compare units inside the same local system, but it does not establish how many square feet one Kattha represents. The square-foot factor still needs the local record context.
