Convert the unit without changing what was measured
Square feet, square metres, acres and hectares have fixed mathematical relationships. Property descriptions such as gross area, net internal area, carpet area or built-up area define a different boundary: what surfaces were included. A precise unit conversion cannot make two unlike measurement conventions equivalent.
Decision boundary: The translator checks arithmetic only. It does not verify title, legal boundaries, survey accuracy, valuation or the measurement convention used by a listing.
